Oil control for parallel compressors
Greater system flexibility, lower operating costs, and energy conservation are reasons why parallel compressor systems are finding more applications.
These systems use multiple compressors with common discharge and suction lines (see Figure 1). However, parallel systems have some potential problems -- like trying to maintain correct oil levels in the compressor crankcase under all operating conditions.
