The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has awarded $5.5 million in agreements to eight teams, including ones led by General Dynamics [GD], Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC), and Lockheed Martin [LMT], for the development of Unmanned Ground Combat Vehicles (UGCV) prototypes as part of the Army's Future Combat System (FCS) program, DARPA said on Wednesday.
