LIKE thousands of others, I suffer from a serious nut allergy.

Going out for a meal is a nightmare. After checking every single item on menus I'm told restaurants "cannot guarantee" my food will not contain traces of nuts.

I'm also finding food manufacturers are putting the warning "may contain traces of nuts" on more products.
