SKIN PROBLEMS
IN THE WORKPLACE
Rubber gloves, now worn by a large part of the workforce, are a major cause of contact dermatitis, according to Robert M. Adams, M.D., clinical professor of dermatology at Stanford University. The AIDS epidemic stated a tremendous increase in the use of rubber gloves. In 1986, two billion pairs of rubber gloves were sold in U.S. Last year the number jumped to more than ten billion pairs.
