On 27 March 2000, the EU Council adopted a Decision authorising the Director of Europol to begin negotiating Agreements with third countries and bodies not linked to the European Union, notably with regard to Europol's reception of information from third parties. The Europol reports were drafted in this context.--Europol, the European police organisation, has a mission is to improve the effective of the relevant services in the Member States and to foster co-operation on preventing and combating terrorism, drug trafficking and other forms of international organised crime. ...
