NATS denies over-congestion of British skies.

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2001 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
The British National Air Traffic Services (NATS) has denied claims made in a leaked report to the European Commission that European skies are overcrowded.
A spokesperson for NATS has said that the 'picture of congested skies is inaccurate' and that the build-up of traffic occurs mainly on the ground because air traffic controllers do not allow more aircraft in the air than they can handle safely. It was also stated that full comment could not be made until the report had been read.
