THE PROGRESS OF NATIONS 2000. The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). This report chronicles the progress that developing countries have made in achieving the goals set forth by the 1990 World Summit for Children. Essays, photos, and statistical arrays chart the progress made in four areas: the impact of HIV/AIDS, early childhood care, immunization, and protecting children from exploitation and neglect.
