HEADQUARTERS REDEDICATION: Dr. Patricia L. Fletcher, president of the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs, Inc. and Youth Affiliates (NACWC), views the cornerstone of the organization's newly renovated headquarters in Washington, D.C., along with Dr. Marie Tolliver, second vice president, and Mrs. Margaret Cooper, first vice president. The five-story building, a historic landmark, is located at 1601 R Street, NW, about 10 blocks from the White House. It was first purchased by the NACWC in 1954, and the mortgage burned in 1962.
