ROANOKE ISLAND -- You might spot him striding across the parking lot in his long woolen robe.

Perhaps you'll notice him crouching near the ground, sprinkling his herb garden with water flowing from a hollow, carved gourd.

But you'll most likely find him walking the wooden boardwalk that weaves alongside a canal, studying nature, bidding passersby a ``good morrow'' and inviting them to accompany him on a stroll around Heritage Festival Park, across from the Manteo waterfront.
