If it looks like Chris Chambers has a little more bounce in his step this week than his teammates on the University of Wisconsin football team, it's because he does.

``I feel like I'm in mid-season stride right now,'' Chambers said.

This still is midseason for Chambers in an unfortunate kind of way. When the Badgers (8-4) take on UCLA (6-5) in the Sun Bowl here Friday, Chambers will be playing his ninth game of the season. But it's his sixth game if you count only the ones in which the senior wide receiver actually has felt like himself.
