Dec. 26--WALHALLA, N.D.--There now are more owners than employees at B.L. Industries here, but those involved say it's mostly business as usual.

"I told them right off I wasn't going to have four people hanging over me," laughed B.L. office manager Julie Fraser, the only one out of five employees to turn down Linda Fehr's offer to sell the company to the employees after Fehr's husband, co-owner Bill Fehr, died in a bicycle accident last summer.

Fraser jokes about forming a labor union of one but said the arrangement has worked out well. Fraser said she declined the offer ...
