NORFOLK -- Norfolk Southern Corp. sealed its commitment to keeping its headquarters here with its announcement Wednesday that it has purchased its 20-story office building.
The big railroad needs additional space in the building to accommodate the hundreds of jobs it plans to add to its 350-person headquarters staff after it completes its purchase of part of Conrail Inc. later this year.
Norfolk Southern purchased the building for $32.8 million from a partnership that was 70 percent owned by NationsBank ...
