HERTFORD -- Hertford's Holy Trinity began with Missionary William E. Snowden did God's work well in behalf of the Episcopal Church.
He attended the North Carolina Diocesan Convention in Raleigh in 1848 and received permission to form a church in Hertford a few months later. He served as its first rector.
