It wasn't a good weekend for Northern Kentucky high school tennis players, but it wasn't all that bad for the Notre Dame Academy team.

While all five area semifinalists lost their matches at Saturday's prep tennis tournament at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Notre Dame took a step forward.

The Pandas, led by single semifinalists Kara Molony and Amy Frisch, finished second behind five-time defending champion Lone Oak.
