St. Xavier catcher Jason Basil found a lot to like about Georgia Tech. He likes the campus, located in a city he likes, Atlanta. He likes the baseball program, a perennial national power. And he likes head coach Danny Hall.

So Basil signed to play there next season. But come June, if a major-league team picks him high in the amateur draft and throws big money at him, Georgia Tech will be an afterthought.
