VALLEY FORGE, Pa. -- He came in like a lion and went out like Dick Lamm.

His Cinderella campaign for a third-party presidential nomination reaching the stroke of midnight, the former Colorado governor lost to Texas billionaire Ross Perot in a sparse turnout of the fledgling Reform Party.
