GOLDEN -- Jefferson County commissioners Tuesday refused a request to place two broadcast towers atop Mount Morrison just west of Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Bear Creek Development Co. requested approval of a special use permit that would allow construction of the towers, one 200 feet tall and the other 300 feet.
