The city of Denver is not a partner in the multimillion-dollar redevelopment deal signed last week between the Winter Park Ski Resort and Hines Inc. of Texas.
In fact, while Denver still refers to Winter Park as a city-owned ski area, it couldn't have prevented the resort's land from being sold to a private developer - even if it had wanted to.
