The Museum of Western Art, once a showcase for such American artists as Frederic Remington and Georgia O'Keeffe among others, is set to become a corporate office building with its sale Wednesday to the Anschutz Corp. for $2.3 million.
``Our interest in it was that it was a very unique architectural and historic building,'' said Rick Jones, Anschutz general counsel. Jones said the company has no plans to alter it inside or out. ``We see it as a preservation opportunity,'' he said.
