GREELEY -- The high point for Dan Williams' NFL career came in 1993, when he was the 11th player selected overall by the Denver Broncos. The low point for Willams came Friday morning, when the team waived him.

``Nothing should surprise any pro athlete in the end,'' said Williams, who endured three injury-riddled seasons before 1996, when he started in 15 of Denver's 16 regular-season games. ``From the aspect of the way things were going and the way the talk was going . . . yes, I had an idea this would happen.''…
