Sylvan International Universities Announces Completion of Universidad del Valle de Mexico and Les Roches Transactions.

BALTIMORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 7, 2000

Sylvan Learning Systems (NASDAQ:SLVN) today said that its previously announced definitive agreements to take controlling interests in the parent company of the Universidad del Valle de Mexico (UVM), and the Gesthotel SA Hotel Management School known as "Les Roches" in Bluche, Switzerland, are completed, and have received all necessary government and regulatory approvals.

Sylvan also disclosed the financial details of both transactions.
