Minorities make up 10 percent of Colorado teachers while their schools are nearly a third minority.
The disparity worries educators, who want faculties to reflect the student body.
``Kids ask, when they're making out schedules, who the black teachers are and what do they teach,'' said Kathy Bougher, a teacher at Manual High School, citing an example that applies to other minorities. ``The kids are looking for role models.''
