Mesa Air Group lost its 10-year contract as a United Express carrier in Denver on Friday and named two board members who promise to shake up the troubled regional carrier.

Airline maverick Jonathan Ornstein, who now heads Virgin Express in Belgium, was among five directors named Friday. Virgin chief financial officer James Swigart also will join the board at its meeting Tuesday in Fort Worth, Texas.
