Iraq is likely to receive several of its commercial aircraft back after Jordan and Tunisia apparently indicated that they are ready to hand back aircraft that were impounded during the 1990-91 Gulf War.
Work to make the aircraft airworthy has already commenced, according to Iraq's foreign minister, and Iraq has also placed pressure on Iran for the release of aircraft impounded there. It is believed that Jordan is holding four Boeing 727s and two 707s and that Tunisia ...
