SOCIAL DANCING under the stars has been a huge draw at the Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors festival. A ballroom floor laid out in Lincoln Center Plaza, amid the elite cultural homes of New York City Ballet, the Metropolitan Opera Company and the New York Philharmonic, has been the man- and woman-in-the-street's most distinguished performing venue since the festival's midsummer swing series began in 1989.
