Today (June 13) Greg Scott of Norristown, a direct descendant of Betsy Ross, will be joined by a group of visitors to the Betsy Ross House in laying a wreath on the tomb of the maker of the 13-star flag in the Atwater Kent Park of Betsy Ross House, 239 Arch St.
The 11 a.m. ceremony serves as a forerunner to Flag Day, Tuesday, June 14, when the U.S. Congress officially adopted the flag in 1777.
