Making Larry Walker better sounds like an impossible task, one that hitting coach Clint Hurdle tried with an ingenious reference to George Brett.
Like every player, Walker has his lulls, only his heights are much higher than most of his peers'. So when Walker does go through a down period, as he did on the Rockies' last road trip, Hurdle said, ``You try to find a motivational point he can relate to.''
