Dear Mr. Buckley: Notwithstanding the relative enlightenment of our age, I wish I had been born earlier. I was born in 1972, and though I began watching Firing Line and reading National Review with bursting admiration in my high-school days, I regret deeply that I never saw you speak in person.

I read recently that you do not plan to speak in public again, save at your granddaughter's wedding. If this event is contemplated, I'd be eternally obliged if you'd shop my name around. A ...
