NEW LOFT IN LINE TO GET FUNDS FROM U.S. TEEN CENTER WOULD USE MONEY TO MOVE.(Front)

Madison's New Loft Teen Center is in line to get $750,000 in federal money for its move to a new site, and several other area programs stand to receive large sums as work on the federal budget continues in Washington, D.C.

House Appropriations Committee members agreed this week on $3.75 million dollars in funding for several health care, education and housing initiatives in southern Wisconsin.

In addition to $750,000 for the New Loft, the committee approved:

* $200,000 for the Madison Community Health Center to provide health care for the uninsured.
