A FORMER British Army Gurkha paid just pounds 17.50 a month is suing the Ministry of Defence for racial discrimination.
Lance Corporal Hari Thapa, 37, claims the army discriminated against him because he was a Gurkha and paid him a "pittance" in wages and pension compared to British soldiers.
