BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. announced the initiation of a Phase I/II clinical trial of recombinant human Arylsulfatase B (rhASB), also known as recombinant human N-acetylgalactosamine-4-sulfatase, in enzyme replacement therapy for patients with Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) VI. MPS-VI is a progressive, chronically debilitating genetic disease that results in early death.
