Harold Jones freely confessed to sexually assaulting Tiffany Long despite his attorney's assertion he was coerced, a police investigator testified Monday.

"My job is not to force him to say anything," Maj. Kevin Crowder of the Burlington Police Department testified in Cumberland County Superior Court.

Testimony by Crowder and three other police officers wound up the prosecution case against Jones on charges of first-degree murder, first-degree rape, first-degree statutory rape and three counts of first-degree sex offense. He faces life in prison if convicted on the ...
