Former student activists are gearing up to resolve regional conflicts and prevent corruption.

The activists who led the student movement in the 1980s will launch the Korea Youth Confederation at an inaugural general meeting Saturday and embark on reforming all sectors of society.

The group will be comprised of such renowned student leaders as Lee In-young, Oh Young-shik and Lim Jong-seok, who were the leaders of Chondaehyop, predecessor of the radical student group, Hanchongnyon.
