The elections in Songpa A district in southeastern Seoul and Kyeyang- Kanghwa district in Inchon will be held today.

Candidates from the rival parties engaged in last-ditch campaigning until midnight yesterday in bids to win undecided voters over to their sides.

The ruling coalition National Congress for New Politics (NCNP) and United Liberal Democrats (ULD) expect to win at least one of the two districts in their professed bid to stabilize the political sphere.
