Insa-dong alley near Kyongbok Palace in Seoul, familiarly known to foreigners as ``Mary's Alley,'' is soon to come under the international spotlight on the occasion of tomorrow's tour of the area by Britain's Queen Elizabeth II.

The alley, which runs about 200 meters, is lined with many small shops and galleries selling traditional goods such as pottery, traditional Korean clothing (known as `hanbok'), pictures and old books.

Vehicles are banned on Sundays so that citizens can enjoy wandering around without the inconvenience of dodging traffic. Foreigners hoping to get ...
