Inchon Iron & Steel Co., a subsidiary of Hyundai Group, was given an endorsement to merge with Kangwon Industries, Ltd. during an extra shareholders meeting yesterday, a spokesman said.
As a result, Inchon Steel plans to register the merged corporation by the end of February after immediately reporting the move to the watchdog Financial Supervisory Service, the spokesman said.
