Candidates will spend an average of 126 million won for the April election, as the National Election Commission put the ceiling on campaign expenses for the 16 days of official campaigning from 81-181 million won.

The Chungdong-Ongjin district in Inchon, west of Seoul, and Chinju, southwestern Kyongsang-namdo have the highest ceiling at 181 million won, and North Cheju county on Cheju-do Island has the lowest at 81 million won.
