A Korean Army major will give his bone marrow to a Japanese leukemia patient in what would be the first case in which a Korean becomes a bone marrow donor for a Japanese patient.

``Korean patients have received bone marrow transplants from Japanese in eight cases since the two neighbors signed an agreement on bilateral bone marrow searches early last year.
