The Armenian leadership hopes that Turkey will eventually drop its refusal to recognize the 1915 extermination of more 1 million ethnic Armenian subjects of the Ottoman Empire as genocide, presidential spokesman Vahe Gabrielian told journalists in Yerevan on 13 September.
