Formosa Plastics Corp. USA is in the home stretch of a massive expansion that will add more than 1.5 billion pounds of polyolefins capacity at its Point Comfort, Texas, location by the first quarter of 2001.
The Livingston, N.J.-based firm also is undertaking a sizable debottlenecking of its PVC operations in Point Comfort and Baton Rouge, La., that will add 500 million pounds of capacity between mid-2001 and the end of 2002.
