Both payments and claims from the Bar's Clients' Security Fund have declined for the 1999-2000 fiscal year, and claimants were paid 100 percent of the maximum allowed under the plan.
According to figures assembled by the Bar, there were 98 claims approved by the Clients' Security Fund Committee and the Board of Governors, totalling $906,398. That was below the $955,350 budgeted for the program.
Both were down from the 1998-99 fiscal year, when 120 claims were approved for a total payout of $924,975. The approved claims were actually higher, but the $924,975 ...
