Bill Carmody couldn't call himself Northwestern's coach as of last Saturday night, but he already was acting like it: The Wildcats kept him up until the wee hours of the morning.

Carmody, after making a five-hour blitzkrieg of a visit to Evanston on Saturday for meetings with athletic director Rick Taylor and president Henry Bienen, flew home to Princeton that night with a stack of NU's recent game tapes in tow.
