Sep. 7--Eskimo Pie Corp.'s history as a Richmond fixture came to a quiet end yesterday.

Shareholders of the Richmond-based company approved a merger agreement making Eskimo Pie a wholly owned subsidiary of CoolBrands International, a frozen dessert company based in Ontario, Canada.
