Sep. 7--Butterfly Pavilion officials hope to overcome funding snags and open their 225,000 square-foot attraction by the end of the year. Work halted on the site between two movie theaters at Broadway at the Beach in mid-May, after the attraction's lending bank was bought out. But Butterfly Pavilion feels it's close to a $5 million loan through the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and it has a $700,000 loan from Carolina Bank and Trust Co., secured in June.
