He carried his nation's flag in the opening ceremonies of the 1996 Summer Olympics, but a hamstring injury kept him from competing in Atlanta.
He will carry it again in Australia_this time by default.
University of Minnesota alum Keita Cline will be the only athlete competing for the British Virgin Islands in the 2000 Olympic Games, which open Sept. 15 in Sydney. He will be his country's lone hope in one event_the 200 meters_for which he has trained exclusively for only one season.
