A POPULAR playgroup which caters for physically handicapped children has shut its doors just days before the start of the new term - sending parents in to a panic.

Families of youngsters who attend the Phab (Physically Handicapped and Able-Bodied) playgroup in Broughshane, Co Antrim, are reeling at the news.

They are furious that they were not officially informed of the closure, due to lack of funds, but had to learn about it from the staff.
