Aug. 29--Stocks will start making cents today.

A change in listing of stock prices in The Fresno Bee and many other newspapers across the nation means that readers will no longer have to convert that pesky 1/16 of a dollar to 6.25 cents or wrestle with whether 5/16 is more or less than 3/8.

The Bee begins listing stock prices in decimals as Wall Street moves down the path to ending its long tradition of fractional stock quotes.
