Cradling a large, runny, barbecue beef sandwich in his hand as though it were a dainty hors d'oeuvre, the big fellow covered his stump perch at the campfire like a huge glacier of flesh.
He dispatched the sandwich in four bites, wiped his sleeve across his bearded face, and stood up ... and up.
About as big around as his 6-foot-and-then-some stature, ``Thumper'' Gunderson is a natural as president of the Interlake Mountain Men. The 23-year-old group meets - and shoots - monthly, at the Interlake Rod and Gun Club in Redmond.
