Gov. Gary Locke, the nation's first Chinese American governor, is planning to visit China in early October.
Locke will visit the village in southeastern China from which his grandfather emigrated. He will also visit other parts of China during his 12-day trip, including Hong Kong, and he plans to visit Japan.
