She wasn't Churchill vowing to fight on the beaches, in the fields and in the streets. But a month ago, Sue Tupper of the Our Team Works campaign said that if her forces win next week's vote on the Seahawks stadium, they will win it with the ``soccer moms.''

It was a flare signaling a tactical shift toward selling Paul Allen's new stadium as more than a pro-football palace. It would be a world class soccer venue any van-driving mother would support for the sake of her kids and city.
